KIEV, Jan. 22 – President Petro Poroshenko said that the Russian ruble's recent significant weakening against foreign currencies is a result of lower oil prices and international sanctions against Russia, which remain in force, as Moscow failed to comply with its commitments.
"This is the price the aggressor paid for the absolutely irresponsible action [failure to fulfill Minsk agreements]," Poroshenko said in an interview with Bloomberg news agency in Davos on Thursday, as reported by the press service of the Ukrainian head of state.
