Metallurgy too costly to prioritize, president tells journalists
Journal Staff Report

KIEV, Jan. 14 – Metallurgy has been excluded from the priority sectors of the Ukrainian economy as it requires large investments, according to President Petro Poroshenko.

"Today the Ukrainian agroindustrial complex is a priority sector, as well as IT industry, energy efficiency, modernization of energy facilities, investment in nuclear power, water-storage facilities. And metallurgy? It's no longer among the priorities as it requires large investments," Poroshenko said at a press conference.
