KIEV, Feb. 16 - Ukraine is to seek an agreement with Russia on supplies of an extra 500 million cubic meters of natural gas in February, Prime Minister Yuriy Yekhanurov said Wednesday.

The extra gas purchases are required as Ukraine is coping with extremely low temperatures in February that boosts demand as more gas is used by households and power generating companies.
