KIEV, Dec. 28 – Overdue debt on VAT refunding of UAH 1.014 billion was paid to Zaporizhia Steel Works Zaporizhstal, one of the largest taxpayers of Ukraine and Zaporizhia region.

The company said in a press release on Friday that the State Fiscal Service returned the overdue debt on VAT refunding to the company in full amount.

Zaporizhstal Director General Rostyslav Shurma said that the return of VAT debt accumulated in the first half of 2015 would allow the company to pay salaries on time, pay for electricity and other energy, pay overdue debts on supplies of raw materials and normally operate on the New Year holidays.
