KIEV, Dec. 22 – The Cabinet of Ministers has proposed that the collection of transport tax on cars with engines of over 3,000 cubic centimeters and aged up to five years be replaced by tax collected on cars that cost more than 750 minimum wages (UAH 1.03 million in 2016) and aged up to five years.

The proposal is outlined in the compromise bill amending the Tax Code (No. 3688) on the provision of the balance of budget revenues in 2016 that was submitted by the government to the parliament on December 22.

The tax rate is not changed – UAH 25,000.
