KIEV, Dec. 18 – A project on joint production of harvesters between Kharkiv Tractor Plant and Sampo Rosenlew (Finland) which planned to produce a test batch of harvesters this year, has been frozen under the initiative of Finland due to “unjustifiable claims“ of the tax service to collect over UAH 400 million from the plant and attempts to nationalize the enterprise Kharkiv Tractor Plant, Kharkiv Tractor Plant Director Vladyslav Hubin said.
"Early this year we signed an agreement on the creation of joint production of harvesters with Sampo Rosenlew and we've been realizing it during the year, but the Finns froze it, as they are not ready to invest their money in the risky facility and introduce designers' solutions. The work on the creation of the Ukrainian harvester has been frozen," Hubin said at a press conference at Interfax-Ukraine on Thursday.
