KIEV, Dec. 10 – Coking plants in Ukraine imported 9.1 million tons of coking coal and coal concentrate in January-November 2015, which is 1% up from a year ago.

The Metallurgprom association told Interfax-Ukraine that coal imports from Russia over the period fell by 19%, to 4.8 million tons.

In November 910,000 tons of coal was imported.

Some 5.4 million tons of Ukrainian coal was supplied to coking plants, which is 36% down on January-November 2014. In November, around 420,000 tons of Ukrainian coal was shipped, which is 150,000 less than in October.
