KIEV, Dec. 7 - President Petro Poroshenko expressed hope that electric power supplies to the Russian internal Republic of Crimea will be restored in the near future.

"As for the electric power supplies, you know that a crash took place, the repair works were conducted, after the crash serious difficulties have emerged for the energy supply to several southern regions of the country, namely the Kherson and Mykolaiv regions," the president said in an interview with Ukrainian TV channels aired on Sunday evening.
