KIEV, Nov. 30 – Ukraine plans to reduce greenhouse emissions to 60% of the 1990 level by 2030, President Petro Poroshenko said.
"Despite all challenges, we remain firmly committed to our obligations under the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change and the Kyoto Protocol. My country consistently contributes to the efforts aimed at reducing man-made greenhouse gas emissions in order to limit dangerous global temperature. Ukraine sets a target not to exceed 60% of the 1990 greenhouse gas emissions level in 2030," he said at the 21st session of the Conference of the Parties (COP) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.
In his words, Ukraine is ready to do this despite those large-scale tasks it needs to solve to rebuild Donbas.
