KIEV, Nov. 11 – The U.S. Department of Agriculture has lowered its forecasts for Ukrainian grain production and exports in the 2015/2016 marketing year (July through June) by 3.2% and 5.6% compared to its the October forecasts, to 59.825 million tons and 33.68 million tons, respectively.
The coarse grain forecast was reduced from 34.775 million tons in the October report to 32.825 million tons in November. In particular, the projection for maize was lowered to 23 million tons from 25 million announced last month. The forecast for wheat remains unchanged at 27 million tons.
