Poroshenko: EU nominees have been appointed to anticorruption office
Journal Staff Report

KIEV, Nov. 9 – President Petro Poroshenko said that candidates proposed by the European Union have been included in the tender commission to select employees of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, Deutsche Welle reported.

Poroshenko said in an interview with DW that the tender commission was reshuffled after criticism was made by the EU and representatives of Ukrainian civil society.

"The next day [after the criticism was made], we removed these people from the tender commission and included those who were proposed by the EU, including Mr. Kessler [Giovanni Kessler, an Italian prosecutor and Director-General of the European Anti-Fraud Office (OLAF)]," Poroshenko said on the Conflict Zone program that will be broadcasted on the English language version of DW TV on November 11.
