KIEV, Nov. 4 – The Ukrainian government must disconnect Crimea from the power grid as a warning to the Crimean authorities against violating the human rights of the Crimean Tatars and Ukrainians, Refat Chubarov, a enior lawmakers and the Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, said.

"We demand that the government disconnects Crimea from the power grid for two or three days to influence [the Crimean authorities] to protect human rights in Crimea," Chubarov said at a press conference in Kyiv on Tuesday.
