KIEV, Nov. 3 – If Russia fails to cut its natural gas prices, Ukraine will switch to importing all of its gas needs from Europe in the first quarter of 2016, Andriy Kobolev, the head of Naftogaz Ukrayiny, said Tuesday.
“We expect and hope that Russian gas sellers will be rational and will propose a competitive price,” Kobolev said. “If we don’t get that proposal, this means we will be buying all gas from Europe.”
