KIEV, Oct. 26 – Canada is interested in boosting cooperation with Ukraine in the defense industry, and the two sides are in talks about the development of bilateral military-technical cooperation, Ambassador of Canada to Ukraine Roman Waschuk said.
The potential of the bilateral military-technical cooperation was discussed in the past few days at talks between a known Canadian defense company with state-run Ukroboronprom Concern during a visit of a Canadian delegation to Ukraine, the Ambassador said at a press conference in Kiev on Monday.
In his words, the Canadian side is interested in establishing partnership with the defense industry of Ukraine. "Our cooperation in the security and defense sector has already been yielding commercial dividends," he said.
