KIEV, Oct. 27 – High-ranking officials in Ukraine have supported a comprehensive program to implement efficiency and safety improvements to the country’s nuclear fleet proposed by Westinghouse Electric Company, Westinghouse said in a press release.

The issue was discussed in Kiev on Monday at a meeting of Westinghouse Electric Company President and Chief Executive Officer Danny Roderick with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko, Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk and several cabinet members.
