KIEV, Oct. 26 – Almost 13.8 million Ukrainian citizens came to the local elections on October 25, which is 46.62% of the total number of voters, the Central Elections Commission reported.
According to the summary data on the number of voters that received bulletins at voting stations posted on CEC website, the western regions of the country lead in the voter turnout. Ternopil region had the largest number of voters that came to the elections (56.5%). It is followed by Lviv (56.31%), Volyn (55.29%), Ivano-Frankivsk (52.85%) and Rivne (50.83%) regions. In addition, the turnout in Zakarpattia (49.16%) and Chernivtsi (48.86%) was much lower.
