KIEV, Feb. 8 - The Ukrainian government will cancel 508 special permits to exploit mineral resources, issued by the State Natural Resource Committee in violation of the law, Prime Minister Yuriy Yekhanurov said Wednesday.

The permits were issued between June 23 to Dec. 31, 2004, which is shortly before former President Leonid Kuchma had stepped down from the post.
