KIEV, Oct. 21 – Ukraine's Foreign Ministry has protested a resolution adopted by the Russian government to put the cultural heritage sites of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol on the list of Russia's cultural heritage of federal importance.
"This particularly applies to the sites which were put into the Tentative List of cultural and natural sites of Ukraine, which qualify for the inclusion in the UNESCO World Heritage List, and which are located on the peninsula. These are the Crimean Khans' Palace in Bakhchysarai, the historical surroundings of the Crimean Khans' capital in Bakhchysarai, the Complex of the Sudak Fortress Monuments dated the 6th-16th centuries, and the Cultural Landscape of "Cave Towns" of the Crimean Gothia," the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry said.
