KIEV, Oct. 19 – Ukraine and Poland have completed a feasibility study for a project that calls for boosting capacity of natural gas pipelines between the two countries, UkrTransGaz reported Monday.
The project would allow Ukraine to import up to 8 billion cubic meters/year of European gas from Poland by 2020, up from 1.5 Bcm/year currently, UkrTransGaz said.
It would also allow European gas trading companies to have access Ukraine’s massive underground gas storage facilities where they can keep gas and use when demand increases in the winter.
