KIEV, Oct. 8 - Ukraine resumed imports of European natural gas via Hungary for the first time since July 1, UkrTransGaz, the state gas shipping company, reported Thursday.
“Gas supplies via this route resumed on October 3,” UkrTransGaz reported in a statement. “Ukrainian consumers are now receiving 500,000 cubic meters of gas per day” via Hungary.
With Russian gas imports also suspended since July 1, Ukraine for the past three months has been mostly focusing on imports of European gas via Slovakia.
