KIEV, Oct. 6 - Coal stored in the warehouses of Ukrainian thermal power plants increased by 11.5% or by 207,400 tons, to 2.008 million tons, from September 28 to October 5, according to a Ukrenergo report.
Anthracite stocks during the period totaled 962,900 tons (453,100 tons at Luhansk) and gas and short-flame coal – 1.045 million tons (including 247,800 tons at Burshtyn).
Ukrenergo said that in the morning on October 4, 35 coal power units and three fuel oil power units at the thermal power plants of generating companies with a capacity of 6.362 GW were operating. Ukrainian nuclear power plants had the capacity of 9.261 GW, hydroelectric power plants – 673 MW, combined heat and power plants – 841 MW and alternative energy units – 116 MW.
