KIEV, Oct. 5 - Ukraine International Airlines (UIA, Kiev), the largest airline in the country, as a result of the ban on flights between Ukraine and Russia, is planning to increase the frequency of flights to Minsk for transit traffic between the countries and increase freight capacity on the Kiev-Minsk route, UIA President Yuriy Miroshnykov said at a press conference in Kiev.
"We are considering the issue and as a designated carrier we have the right to fly to Minsk twice a day. We fly once and plan to increase the number of flights to the maximally permitted per day. We can, and I think our Belarusian colleagues will do the same, use larger capacity aircraft on this route," he said.
