Ukraine's monetary base fell 1.1% in August, according to NBU
Journal Staff Report

KIEV, Oct. 2 - Ukraine's monetary base decreased by 1.1% in August, to UAH 328.8 billion, while money supply decreased by 2.1%, to UAH 948.2 billion, the National Bank of Ukraine reported.

According to the report, the volume of cash outside banks in August decreased by 2.7%, to UAH 276.4 billion, and since the beginning of the year it fell by 2.3%.

Since early 2015, monetary base fell by 1.3% and money stock by 0.9%.
