KIEV, Oct. 2 – Ukrainian metal companies cut steel production by a preliminary 20% in January-September year-over-year, to 17.097 million tons, the Metallurgprom association of metal companies of Ukraine (Dnipropetrovsk) told Interfax-Ukraine.

Rolled steel output fell by 21% in January-September 2015, to 14.957 million tons and cast iron output was down by 19%, to 15.997 million tons.

Pipe production dropped by 42%, to 644,000 tons, and coke output decreased by 25%, to 8.405 million tons.
