KIEV, Sept. 23 – The loss of operating Ukrainian banks in January-August totaled UAH 47.902 billion, the National Bank of Ukraine said on its website.

NBU did not present data on the whole banking system, taking into account insolvent banks, while as of September 1, 2014 the loss of the banking system amounted to UAH 5.3 billion.

The regulator said that in August the loss of solvent banks came to UAH 14.8 billion, and the share of one bank was 99.9%.
