KIEV, Sept. 18 - Ukraine would be willing to pay less than $230 per 1,000 cubic meters for Russian natural gas in the fourth quarter, Energy and Coal Industry Minister Volodymyr Demchyshyn said Friday.

Ukraine suspended imports of Russian gas on July 1 after the two countries disagreed on prices to be charged in the third quarter, but are currently in talks in order to resume supplies.
