KIEV, Sept. 14 – Building of facilities which will unblock 1,000 MW of capacity of Khmelnytsky and Rivne nuclear power plants (NPPs) is on schedule, and will be finished by winter, Energy and Coal Industry Minister Volodymyr Demchyshyn said.
"Yesterday [on September 10] we held a meeting at Ukrenergo. Everyone has confirmed that everything is going on schedule. Before the heating season the line would start operating, and we add 1,000 MW," he told reporters in Kiev on September 11.
