KIEV, Feb. 2 ??“ Azerbaijan and Ukraine discussed building natural gas pipelines that would boost supplies of Azeri and other Central Asian gas via Ukraine to Europe, top security advisor to President Viktor Yushchenko said Thursday.

Anatoliy Kinakh, the secretary of the National Security and Defense Council, has been touring the Caucuses region that in the future may become an important part for securing steady gas supplies to Ukraine.
