BEIJING, Aug. 20 – China believes that the Ukraine crisis can be overcome only peacefully through negotiations between all the parties concerned, Chinese Deputy Foreign Minister Cheng Guoping told Russian journalists in Beijing.

"The Chinese government's policy remains determined and unambiguous: we resolutely favor a peaceful settlement of this crisis through negotiations between the relevant parties," he said.

As concerns the conflict in Ukraine, "China adheres to an impartial and unbiased position, which is in conformity with the continuity and consistency of China's foreign political course," Cheng said.
