KIEV, Aug. 20 – Russia's share of Ukrainian food exports in H1 2015 was 2% compared to 8% in H1 2014, Agricultural Policy and Food Minister Oleksiy Pavlenko reported.
"The strategic importance of the Russian market for Ukraine is a Soviet throwback. Due to non- predictability, artificial restrictions, meat and dairy trade wars, and blocking of confectionary products, Ukrainian producers started orientating to the European, Asian, African and American markets a long time ago. The successful diversification allowed for considerably compensating profits from exports to Russia," Pavlenko said.
