Ukrenergo planning to build new 220 kV power transmission line
Journal Staff Report

KIEV, Aug. 17 – Ukrenergo plans to build a new 220 kV power transmission line to enhance the reliability of power supply to the north of Luhansk region, the company reported.

"A preliminary decision has been made about a possible construction of a new 220 kV overhead line bound for Yuvileina substation, which will be fed through a 500 kV transmission high-voltage power line from Russian-based Novovoronezhskaya nuclear power plant and Donbaska substation [this power line is also connected with Ukrainian-based Zaporizhia nuclear power plant via Pivdennodonbaska substation]. The tentative duration of the project is from nine to 12 months," the company said.
