KIEV, Aug. 7 – UniCredit Group expects to sell its subsidiary in Ukraine, Kiev-based Ukrsotsbank, by the end of the current year, Deutsche Welle reported, with reference to UniCredit Bank Austria AG Chief Executive Officer Willibald Cernko.
Cernko said the sale of the Ukrainian subsidiary should take place "in the coming months," by the end of 2015.
In 2013, the UniCredit Group announced it planned to sell Ukrsotsbank, but the plan was postponed. In April 2015, then Ukrsotsbank CEO Graziano Cameli announced that the UniCredit Group planned to remain on the Ukrainian market.
