KIEV, July 30 - If local elections were held in Ukraine next Sunday, six political forces would overcome the 5% qualification threshold to be elected to local government bodies, i.e. the Petro Poroshenko Bloc, Batkivschyna, the Opposition Bloc, the Samopomich Association, the Radical Party of Oleh Liashko, and Svoboda, as is seen from a public opinion survey released at the Interfax-Ukraine office on Thursday.
In particular, the Petro Poroshenko Bloc would garner 23.7% of the vote, Batkivschyna 11.9%, the Opposition Bloc 11.2%, the Samopomich Association 10.5%, the Radical Party of Oleh Liashko 9.3%, and Svoboda 7.4%.
