KIEV, July 28 – Ukraine's Higher Administrative Court on July 21 upheld the appeal of OJSC Aeroflot - Russian Airlines, and quashed the ruling of District Administrative Court of Kiev and Kiev Administrative Court of Appeal on fining the airline UAH 136,000 for flying over the territory of Crimea.
According to the ruling, courts of first instance and the court of appeals established that after an investigation it was revealed that on May 12, 2014 an Aeroflot plane, operating the AFL 1821 flight, flew in airspace under the control of Ukraine without two-way radio communications with the Ukrainian air navigation agency, which is banned by the Air Code of Ukraine.
