Slovyansk coal power plant back on line to make up for shortage
Journal Staff Report

KIEV, July 27 - Ukraine’s Slovyansk-based coal-burning power plant resumed operation on Monday to compensate for a major shortfall of power caused by separatist artillery fire.

The unit No. 7, which has enough coal in stocks to run for two days, was put online hours after two major regional power generating plants had to shut down on damages caused by the fire from pro-Russian rebels.
