KIEV, July 23 – The Ukrainian Finance Ministry expects that the next tranche of the EU macro-financial assistance in the amount of EUR600 million will be received at the end of the year.
"Ukraine will get the next tranches of the macro-financial package of assistance after the fulfillment of certain conditions in the area of public finance, energy, public administration and business climate improvement. In particular, it is expected that the second tranche of EUR600 million will be issued at the end of 2015, and the third one for the same amount in the first quarter of 2016," the ministry said.
In Riga on May 22 Ukraine and the European Commission signed a memorandum of understanding on the third and last package of macro-financial assistance from the European Union amounting to EUR1.8 billion, proposed by the European Commission in January this year and approved by the European Union on April 15.
