KIEV, July 24 - The Communist Party of Ukraine and other Communist parties no longer have the status of political parties in Ukraine, National Security and Defense Council Oleksandr Turchynov announced on July 24.

"Starting from today, the Communist Party of Ukraine and other satellite Communist parties lose their political status and the rights of a political party. This is a truly historic moment…," he told a press briefing in Kiev on Friday.
