KIEV, Jan. 26 ??“ The National Bank of Ukraine sold $780 million to support the hryvnia against the U.S. dollar on foreign exchange market since early January, Anatoliy Shapovalov, the first deputy governor of the central bank said.

"We sold $780 million to stabilize the situation on the forex market,??? Shapovalov said. ???The reserves are created to prevent sudden fluctuations by means of intervention of the market."
