KIEV, July 14 – Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk has had a number of meetings with U.S. business representatives as a part of his visit to Washington. The parties discussed the issues of nuclear energy, oil and gas industry and agrarian sector, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers reported.
During his meeting with management of Westinghouse company, the issues of realizing the contract on supplying new nuclear fuel were discussed. A new cooperation direction was discussed as well – enhancing the capacity of current nuclear energy blocks, participation in modernization programs and increasing security of Ukrainian nuclear power plants. The issue of Westinghouse's using Ukrainian machine and instrument engineering market was also raised.
