KIEV, July 14 - National Security and Defense Council Secretary Oleksandr Turchynov said that the Ukrainian authorities are calculating losses caused by the state due to the occupation of some districts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
"We're calculating losses caused by war started by Russia against us in eastern Ukraine. Russia cynically says that we're blocking the region from the economic point of view and that Ukraine must finance territories seized by them. However, Russia caused huge losses to these territories. There are many facilities that are impossible to restore," he said in an exclusive interview with Interfax-Ukraine.
Turchynov said that Russia has grossly neglected many requirements of international law by its actions in Crimea and some districts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.
