KIEV, July 13 – The nomination committee of the Cabinet of Ministers has selected a British citizen who has occupied high-ranking posts in the largest global oil and gas companies as board chairman of Ukraine's Ukrnafta oil producer, which is 51% owned by Naftogaz Ukrayiny.
"The meeting of the nomination committee to appoint head of Ukrnafta was held. A first-rate professional was selected unanimously, a foreigner, not Chichvarkin. Chichvarkin did not participate in the official procedure and he was not among 68 candidates. However, if he has desire, we would find a challenge for him," Economic Development and Trade Minister Aivaras Abromavicius wrote on his Twitter page.
