KIEV, July 9 – An increase in rates for oil transportation to Ukrainian oil refineries, as of July 1, 2015, will end the subsidization by PJSC Ukrtransnafta of privately owned companies and will allow the company to break even, Ukrtransnafta acting Director General Roman Sydorak told Interfax-Ukraine.
"State-run Ukrtransnafta's lower tariffs in the past eight years have been in fact subsidizing Ukrainian oil refineries. This means that receipts from crude oil transportation services provided to the oil refineries did not cover operating costs directly linked with the process of oil transportation. As of July 1, 2015, this practice stopped, and the rates were brought in line with the market situation," Sydorak said.
