KIEV, July 8 – President Petro Poroshenko has issued a decree annulling a number of presidential orders related to Ukraine's European integration that were signed through 1996-2011.
According to the president's website, corresponding decree No. 398/2015 "On recognizing certain acts of Ukrainian presidents as void" was signed on Tuesday.
"The president's order No. 5 as of January 12, 2015 approved 'Ukraine-2020' strategy of stable development and [order] No. 287 as of May 26 [approved] the strategy for Ukraine's national security. [The orders] clearly form Ukraine's European integration aspirations and take into account the new stage of relations between our state and the EU, which was put in the Ukraine-EU association agreement and corresponds with current reality," the president's press service reported.
