KIEV, July 6 – President Petro Poroshenko has strongly criticized Parliament for passing a law on restructuring currency-pegged loans.
"What disappointed me a lot and raised great concern regarding the future of the coalition and the future of the parliament – voting yesterday [July 3] on restructuring of currency-pegged credits. Unfortunately, among those who voted, I saw populist politicians who wishing to face the sympathy of some parts of society, put under threat the country's financial and banking system and the stability of the economy [and they are] giving promises that can't be fulfilled," the president said in an interview with Ukraine TV on Friday evening.
