MINSK/KIEV, June 30 – Ukraine is going to ensure that visas for Ukrainian citizens to make short-term visits to the EU will be scrapped in 2016, First Deputy Foreign Minister Natalia Halibarenko said at a press conference in Minsk on Tuesday.

According to Halibarenko, by September 2015, Ukraine is going to finish the technical part of the Action plan on liberalization of the visa regime between Ukraine and the EU. This will allow further work on the simplification of the visa regime to be carried out.
