KIEV, June 17 - Electricity production in the united power system of Ukraine in January-May 2015 decreased by 12.7% compared to the same period in 2014, to 70.189 billion kWh, a Ministry of Energy and Coal Industry source has told Interfax-Ukraine.
Nuclear power plants in the four months increased electricity production by 2.8%, to 37.575 billion kWh. Power production at Zaporizhia amounted to 14.839 billion kWh (a 5.2% fall), Yuzhnoukrainsk – 7.757 billion kWh (a 15.9% fall), Rivne – 8.212 billion kWh (a 23.2% rise), Khmelnytsky – 5.767 billion kWh (a 35.2% rise).
