KIEV, June 10 – The monetary base in Ukraine shrank by 0.2% in May, or UAH 0.74 billion, to UAH 329.62 billion, the National Bank of Ukraine reported.
Monetary stock in May also shrank to UAH 967.63 billion, or 1.3%, due to the ongoing outflow of deposits in foreign currency from banks.
Off-bank cash declined by 0.9%, to UAH 283.35 billion, as households sold more cash currency than they bought.
