KIEV, June 5 – Ukrainian metallurgical enterprises cut steel production by 28% year-on-year in January-May, to 9.247 million tons.
The output of general rolled products in the period under review fell by 30%, to 8.001 million tons, and the production of pig iron also fell by 30%, to 8.363 million tons, the Dnipropetrovsk based Metallurgprom association told Interfax-Ukraine.
Pipe production dropped by 40%, to 368,000 tons, coke production fell by 41%, to 4.251 million tons.
