MOSCOW, May 29 - Lukoil anticipates that its Karpatnaftokhim petrochemical plant in Ukraine will resume operating.

"We are continuing consultations with the Ukrainian government on a resumption of Karpatnaftokhim's operations," Lukoil President Vagit Alekperov said in an interview on Rossiya 24 television.

"I am confident that the situation in Ukraine will stabilize," he said.
