KIEV, May 21 – Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has said that the U.S. is still a reliable partner for Ukraine.
I have all the reasons to think that the U.S. is an absolutely reliable partner for Ukraine, Poroshenko said in an interview with the BBC.
When asked if he was concerned over speculation that U.S. State Secretary John Kerry and his Assistant Victoria Nuland "are making a new relationship quite possibly at your [Ukraine's] expense" during their recent visits to Russia, Poroshenko said: "For some [it looks like that]. But if you ask me if I trust [U.S.] President [Barack] Obama, if I trust Vice President [Joe] Biden, if I trust State Secretary Kerry, my answer will be – yes, I trust them."
